Sunday Morning Teams

If any of the following opportunities interest you, feel free to contact the office by filling out the contact form in the sidebar (for mobile view: below).

First Impressions

The First Impressions Team makes sure that guests are cared for, informed and are able to find a place to belong at Bethel Church.

(Campuses: Fergus Falls & Battle Lake)

Ushers are responsible for welcoming guests into the sanctuary for Bethel’s worship services. This includes tasks like handing out bulletins, helping people find a seat and answering questions about Sunday morning.

This more importantly includes making guests feel welcomed and informed. Greet them with a warm smile and kind words. Watch for anyone who might be confused or lost. Make sure everyone you come in contact with knows that you care about them.

(Campuses: Fergus Falls & Battle Lake)

Greeters are the first people that guests will see as they visit Bethel Church for a worship service and Sunday School.

Greeters are responsible for tasks such as greeting guests as they enter the main doors and answering any questions.

More importantly, greeters are responsible for making sure guests know they have been noticed and that Bethel Church is thrilled that they are there.

(Campuses: Fergus Falls & Battle Lake)

The Connection Center is the area where ministry information, sign up sheets, and other resources can be found.

If something is mentioned during the service, the information and next steps can be found at the Connection Center.

A person will be present at the Connection Center to answer any questions. Personal relationship is a priority for Bethel Church, so we believe that people should be communicating information, not just a pamphlet or brochure.

Fergus Falls Campus:

Everyone is encouraged to hang out in what Bethel Fergus Falls calls the “Living Room.” Volunteers make and serve the coffee and build new relationships, making sure guests know they are welcome.

Battle Lake Campus:

The coffee and refreshments at Bethel Battle Lake can be found in the foyer of the building, where you will also find tables and chairs for fellowship. Volunteers make sure coffee is available and take these opportunities to get to know new guests.

Sound & Technology

(Campuses: Fergus Falls & Battle Lake)

The volunteer behind the soundboard is responsible for sound during practice and the related weekend worship service.

The biggest responsibility is helping the worship team effectively lead the congregation in worship with good sound mixing.

(Campuses: Fergus Falls only)

The sermons during the earlier worship services are recorded and usually delivered to Bethel’s Battle Lake campus to play during their worship service.

These sermons are recorded in the control room through mounted cameras in the sanctuary.

(Campuses: Fergus Falls & Battle Lake)

Slide and video projection is important for informing the congregation and helping them worship together.

This is controlled in the sound booth. It’s a simple task, but extremely important, since a missing slide can distract people from worship and/or confuse communication.

Bethel values the opportunity to dig deeper and learn more on Sunday morning, while developing meaningful relationship in a social setting.

Teachers lead the class time in various ways, depending on the topic and teaching style. Do you have the talent for teaching?

(Campus: Fergus Falls)

Every class on Sunday morning requires a leader to open, close and manage their time together. Other tasks, such as preparing coffee and treats, welcoming guests and planning for future classes are part of the team’s responsibility, depending on the needs and expectations of the group.

A Prayer team is a group of two or more people. They gather once a month in the prayer room to pray during a worship service. Prayer for the service, worship, the pastor who is preaching, and those in the pew are some of the topics. With all topics the goal is that God’s will be done, that those who need to repent and come to believe in Jesus would do so.

If you would like to be involved, please use the contact form in the sidebar (for mobile view: below).
