Dave Cornell
Family: Amy (wife) and two daughters
Campus: Attends Bethel Fergus Falls
Favorite Bible Verse: Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courage. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go?”
This has become an important verse for me after recognizing the role that fear has played in much of my life. God calls us to be courageous and bold and recognize that the same God that was with Joshua is with me as well. A verse that has tied in to the Joshua verse is John 10:10 which says; “The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy; I have come they they may have life, and have it to the full.” The first half of the verse is a life of fear led by Satan. The second half of the verse is a life of courage led by God.

Matthew Olsen

Favorite Bible Verse: Matthew 6:26-27
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
This passage first describes how precious we are in God’s eyes - he created us in His image, unique from the rest of creation. Knowing how valuable He created each of us to be, we are reminded to see ourselves and others the way God sees us. Then we are reminded that God is in control of the universe. The One who created and loves us so much is also guiding each hour of our lives. The worries of each day are swallowed up in the power and love of our Heavenly Father!
