A: Couples who are planning for marriage in a premarital setting will benefit from starting with a solid foundation of skills and tools to begin their married life together. Couples who are starting a new chapter in their relationship such as having children, becoming empty nesters, or retirees can tune up their marriage for a new set of challenges. Couples who have conflict they just can’t seem to get past can learn new skills to rediscover the spouse they fell in love with years before.
Q: Who can seek out a marriage mentor couple?
A: Any couple at any stage in their marriage will likely benefit from enriching their marriage. Engaged, newly-weds, parenting couples of toddlers to teens and empty-nesters may find value in learning how to run the bases as a means to strengthen your relationship through mentorship coaching.
Q: Do marriage mentors have any training?
A: Yes, they have gone through a training program sponsored by the “Dare to Be Different” organization, and they volunteer their time and experiences to walk beside couples desiring to experience marriage mentorship. Mentor couples are not therapists or marriage counselors. They are a supplement not a substitute for the pastor. At all times they are under the authority of the ordained clergy overseeing the ministry. Most of all, these are people who love God and want His blessings on your marriage.

A: After you complete a confidential brief survey/application, a Bethel pastor and the mentorship coordinators will ask a mentor couple to contact you.
