Bethel is a large congregation of people who represent many needs and challenges. The position of a Parish Nurse is to assist the pastoral staff in meeting these areas of concern. The parish nurse ministry is not only for the sick or elderly. There are many ways this ministry can help meet many different needs.

- Visits to those hospitalized with a follow up after discharge.
- Offers home visits to new mothers, those with illness, those that have health related questions or needing encouragement.
- Arranges for transportation to appointments and accompany appointments as requested.
- Provides meals and a variety of gift cards to persons.
- Provides assistive devices as needed: crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, knee scooter, etc.
- Office hours provided to those who want blood pressure checked, ask medical related questions, or express concerns.
- Other regular ministry participation in Primetimer’s Ministry, Foot Care, etc.

If you are ill or hospitalized, please contact the Parish Nurse through the church office. We would like to visit and offer assistance as you recover. Partnering with Bethel’s Food Ministry, we also provide meals to individuals and families.
