Children + Worship Services
Bethel Church values helping children build connections, a bridge, between what happens in Sunday School and what happens in a worship service. The Scripture that we teach our children in the precious minutes we have them is valuable for their entire lives. As adults we need to be reminded of the simple truths of our childhood too! Because of this we aim to teach the children the GOOD NEWS of JESUS every Sunday in as many ways as possible. This past weekend, we invited the 5th & 6th graders to serve in different ways and the younger kids to share bits and pieces from everything they are learning in Sunday School.
We also value worshiping together. Multiple generations sitting among each other praising God for His faithfulness - from the littlest to the oldest! This is a significant part of Bethel's Faith@Home vision as we equip families to live out their faith at home. God becomes more real to children when they get to see their parents and other adults worshiping God together as a church week after week.
Special Sunday services like this morning help make connections that will hopefully help them learn to love the greater CHURCH and not just Sunday School, whether it’s the young children who are singing or the older children serving alongside the adults. We've had kids make comments about wanting to be a pastor someday or saying "I've been an usher before!" because of the opportunities these services have provided. This special opportunity brings multiple generations together and reminds these children that they are a significant part of our church.
