Jenny resigns as Director of Children's Ministries
Jenny Mathiesen has submitted her resignation as Director of Children’s Ministries. We are thankful for 11+ years of service she has given to Bethel Church and invite you to pray for her and her family as she transitions out of this role. As you’ll hear in this video below of my conversation with her, Jenny’s last day will be Palm Sunday (March 28). - Pastor Rich Iverson

The following is Jenny's resignation message to Bethel Church.
Dear Church Family,
I have been honored to serve as Director of Children’s Ministries for just over 11 years. In this position, I have been blessed beyond expression. I have learned even more about the love of Jesus, who HE is, and what it really looks like to point others to His great love. In my years I have also learned more about how He gifted me, and more recently, how He wants to use me next.
My resignation comes with great appreciation, great respect and love for our staff and our church family. My focus will be on my family and my pursuit to become a licensed teacher. My last day on staff will be Sunday, March 28th, 2021. But, I’m not going anywhere.
I may not be on staff anymore, but I will be part of the team of volunteers who roll up their sleeves each week to make “church” happen. Among many opportunities, I am looking forward to being on the worship team, greeting people as they come in the doors, becoming a Sunday School teacher again, and watching our church family grow as we point even more people to JESUS.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to serve my Savior, Jesus Christ, by proclaiming His Good News to the families of Bethel Church and our community. My staff role may be finishing up but I’m not finished sharing this Good News.
With great love and appreciation,
Jenny Mathiesen
