Congregation Approves Signing of Lending Agreement
At Bethel's congregational business meeting on April 11, 2021, the motion to authorize signing a the Lending Agreement for the parking lot and building expansion at Bethel Fergus Falls was approved.
The next step before construction can begin is to pass the motion to authorize signing a Builder's Contract Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) addendum. After we sign this addendum, the GMP is set and Bethel Church will not spend over that amount. If costs run over that, it is the general contractor's (Churches by Daniels) responsibility to pay the overage.
Currently, Churches by Daniels is seeking bids from local subcontractors in an effort to set the GMP. When the bidding processes is complete, we expect to receive the GMP addendum. A special business meeting will be scheduled when that time comes. Watch for communication about this in the near future. Once that addendum is signed, construction will begin. Bethel looks to God for wisdom and open doors while final decisions are being made. Please pray for leadership during this time.
