1. How does an “IN CHRIST” identity lead to unity instead of division in the church?
2. What do you think is either normal or attractive about the “earn it” spirituality Pastor Dave spoke about?
3. Why is it “anti Gospel” to see grace as God enabling a person to become holy and so win their salvation? Can you back your answer with a verse in Ephesians 2:1-10?
4. Reflect on (outloud if others are with you) this quote from Martin Luther: “The love of God does not find, but creates, that which is pleasing to it...Rather than seeking its own good, the love of God flows forth and bestows good. Therefore sinners are attractive because they are loved; they are not loved because they are attractive.”
