1. Do you know what your name means? Do you know why your parents named you that? Do you like the meaning of your name?
2. Jabez’s name meant pain. He was given a label and name he never wanted. What are some labels or names that you have been given that you wish you could shed?
3. We have been given a new name & new identity! We have been declared Children of God. How does it make you feel to know that you are a child of God? How does that change the way we operate?
4. We have also been made new by Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 talks about how the old has gone and the new has come. We have been given a clean slate. Do you ever feel like your slate is not able to be wiped clean? Read Psalm 103:12. Rest in the assurance our sins are forgiven and remembered no more.
